Great first time for my family

First time taking my family to Montreal and stayed at the Bonaventure. It was great, the beds were comfy, rooms were clean and it was very quiet. Loved that we were in the middle of the city and have access to the Metro and the if you just feel like walking go about exploring without having to take out the car. Kids loved the hotel thought it was very cool and loved to swim in the 92 degree pool even though it was like 40 degrees at night. Staff was always helpful, thanks to Francois for the fast check in and the doormen who helped us find our ways around town. The only downside I found was the parking charge each time to take it out is charged and it was really tight driving in the garage so that was a bit of a downside for me but overall we would love to stay again.

We had a horrible experience with our room. There was a water leak in the bathroom and outside hallway in the middle of the night. It woke us up at 4am. We had to switch rooms which was clear across the other side of the Hotel. When we asked if there was anything that they could do to compensate for the inconvenience they said they could comp us the buffet breakfast OR parking. We said why not at least both? They had to talk to someone higher up who did end up agreeing to both, but no offer to comp us for the night stay. When we got home I wrote them about our horrible experience, along with a video of the water leak, and how poorly it was handled. To date we have not heard back from anyone, it's been two weeks now. We were surprised with how poorly they handled this as we have stayed with them a few times before and have never had issue with our stay. So, we will NOT be staying with them again and have told all of our family and friends about our poor experience. Clearly they don't care about their customers and returning business. We will definitely stay somewhere else the next time we visit Montreal. How very disappointing.

Unique experience swimming in a heated outdoor pool in 50 degree weather, and then walking out of the hotel and being in the middle of a bustling city. Location was great for the things we had on our itinerary, including a concert at Bell Centre. Restaurant in the hotel was pretty good and the staff was friendly and helpful. It seemed like there was some kind of issue with the cleaning staff the first couple days we were there, as they didn't come by to clean it till close to 5pm, and some wine bottles and room service trays from other guests sat uncollected in the hallways for at least 24 hours, which is the only reason I hesitate to give 5 stars here. To the staff's credit they were on the ball the last day with the cleaning effort.

Great stay. The rooms were clean and spacious - had the best sleep. Even though there was a conference going on the rooms were so very quiet. The pool was nice in the evening - heated and not busy. Also had a hot tub and sauna. Nice touch with robes in the closet which were great for getting out of the pool in the cold! Only a short walk from the Bell centre. The Via rail station is right across the street and links up to lots of places to eat as well as underground shopping. Metro is accessible right under the hotel as well. Highly recommend if considering hotels in the area!

We stayed here a couple of nights on a weekend getaway to Montreal. We’d been once, years ago, and had really enjoyed it. Our return did not disappoint. It’s such a unique place. The rooftop pool being the highlight and the main reason to come. But the room was beautiful, the staff were friendly, and the location is perfect. We’ll come again.
